Tasks description 

Volunteers tasks are mainly the preparation and realization of the discribed Theatre festival "Hunds Tage" in Halle which will start in September 2001. This preparation happens in the preparation team of "Thalia Theater" with 15 colleagues. He/ she will work together with the project leader. There are discribed a lot of specific tasks to do: - planning the acting rooms and the time dispostion, - organization of technical things and preparation of the acting rooms, - public relation for the theatre festival as the vonteer wants to, - the contact to the project-supporting schools, the cultural office and the sponsors, - the company of the actors and the actor groups in Halle, - the realization of the festival. The Volunteer becomes acquainted to the normal order of events in Thalia Theatre, to the history and of course the planned festival project. That comprises the technical and the organizational duties in the daily theatre work. A typical weakly working in theatre staff has this form: On Monday the staff comes together to discuss and to hand out the tasks for the following days and the following projects. After that the volunteer has to organize his/ her own time table in asgreement with the project leader to prepare his/ her duties. Normally the Volunteer will work 5 days a week; not at weekends.
