Staying at the Youth Information Centre and at “Spazio Giovani”, the young volunteer will be allowed to know the processes connected with the treatment of information (information retrieval, cataloguing, updating) and the management of a centre of aggregation for young peolpe.The young volunteer will be engaged in the activity of the two centres, approximately during the respective opening hours, according to the following schedule, in total for 26 hours a week:SUNDAY: free dayMONDAY: free dayTUESDAY: from 4 pm to 10 pm at the Spazio Giovani (6 hours)WEDNESDAY: from 10 am to 12 pm and from 4 pm to 7 pm at the Youth Information Centre (5 hours)THURSDAY: from 4 pm to 10 pm at the Spazio Giovani (6 hours)FRIDAY: from 10 am to 12 pm and from 4 pm to 7 pm at the Youth Information Centre (5 hours)SATURDAY: from 3 pm to 7 pm at the Spazio Giovani (4 hours)For particular exigencies connected with the carrying out of the activities, the volunteer might be asked to be available to go together with the operators in interventions on the territory (promotion of services, distribution of invitations for particular events, contacts with bodies present on the territory, …)At the Youth Information Centre, on Wednesdays and Fridays, the young volunteer will be engaged in back and front office activities.For the front office (23%), he/she will be asked to:· work with the operator to supply the users with personalized information about his/her experience of European volunteer;· meet and speak, supported by the operator, to the users who wish to have information about the volunteer’s Country of origin, especially in relation to the themes of instruction, training, work and youth tourism;· be willing to plan and manage, with the operator, group meetings for the purpose of sharing his/her own experience of European volunteer and, consequently, promoting the EVS as an experience of important opening to the European Community. These meetings will take place in the office of the Youth Information Centre or in some schools of Belluno, in collaboration with the Centre of Services for Voluntary Apprenticeship and with the Provincial School Office.The back office activities (15%), whereas, will be:· the research, also through the Internet, of information to update and increase the documentation consulted by users;· the filing, always with the assistance of the operator, of the collected information;· the arrangement of simple leaflets that stress useful information to the young people who reach the office, using also computer tools. The volunteer will be involved in the daily processes of the treatment of the information, he/she will be able to learn the principal rules of them and he/she will be asked to use tools such as photocopiers and faxes;· when required, he/she might be asked, after an introduction with the operator, to have contacts with some services present on the territory, engaged in the circulation of sectional information (firms for tourist promotion, enquiry offices of other public bodies, such as Region and Province,…).Once a week, there will be a group meeting with the operators of the two centres in which the young volunteer will have to take part.At the Spazio Giovani (62%), whereas, the young volunteer will have to:· work together with the operators in the management of the centre in the three afternoons of weekly opening, assuring his/her active presence and the willingness to interact with the boys that often go to it in their free time;· take part in possible activities that are promoted by the centre also outside the centre (laboratories of manual activities for the boys after school);· document, as an external eye, the moments characterizing the activity carried out at the Spazio Giovani, with the help of suitable tools (camera, camcorder,…);· go together with the operators in the activities of promotion of the centre and of the events periodically organized (birthday parties, evenings of music with local youth groups, laboratories of different activities for boys and young people);· cooperate with the operators on the realization of leaflets to promote the different appointments on the territory;· manage a course for the teaching of one’s own mother tongue;· to present some evenings with films that, for the language, the scenery or the subject, illustrate the Country of origin of the European volunteer.Free time.The volunteer will have two free days, Monday and Sunday. During the first months, about 6 hours a week will be devoted to the linguistic formation.The Commune of Belluno will give the volunteers the opportunity to go to the swimming-pool, the cinemas of the town or to use other facilities, according to his/her own interests and under facilitated conditions. Moments of integration and of knowledge of the Country will be made possible putting the volunteer in the groups of students of the Secondary Schools during their school trips.
