Tasks description
" intercultural dimension
As the volunteers will live in a flat and as we have intended to host 2 volunteers from different countries at the same time, then they will have a great opportunity to learn about each other's culture. At the same time communication with the children of our centre, local volunteers, staff and in general with the local community will give the possibility to learn about our culture as well.
" variety and balance of tasks,
As our centre has many interest groups from various fields of life and we intend the volunteer to assist in the work of several interest groups and as throughout the year there are very many activities happening - exchange projects, camps, exhibitions, concerts, project planning etc, then the variety of tasks is great and only about an hour in a week may be office work, not more.
There is a possiblity that the time table of the week may change, because of different events - for example - there is a camp taking place during the summer, that means that during summertime the time table will gradually change. During the end of the year the volunteer will be welcomed to take a rest from the usual work and help to Santa Claus in his home which is in another our building and where many school children are coming to visit the magical spirit of Christmas.
" responsibilities for certain tasks, specific guidance and support in the case of highly demanding tasks,
As for each interest group there is a responsible person (mostly teacher or consultant) then there will be assured a specific guidance and support from them as the volunteers are mainly expected to assist in the interest group work. Also we can provide special guidance in several tasks.
" options for a personal project,
The volunteer is welcomed to bring out his/her ideas and in case of a personal project we are ready to change his time table to make time for the realisation of his/her own project and also to offer all the help he/she will need.
