Tasks description 


Regular activities in the host organisation TANDEM - these are two offices situated in the Czech Republic and in Germany. Their aim is to increase the exchange of pupils and young people between the Czech Republic and Germany. The centres also offer advice and information in this field. TANDEM 1) provides information on the neighbouring country, on the financing of exchange projects, on youth work structures and other topics. 2) helps in finding a suitable co-operation partner. On both sides of the border, schools and youth clubs are highly interested in youth meetings. 3) organises "partner-markets" on a regular basis, where participants can establish personal contacts. 4) offers the opportunity to meet people from a similar background at seminars organised by TANDEM and learn more about intercultural education, life, institutions and youth work. 5) helps project managers to orient themselves in the jungle of the financial funds appointed for youth exchange work 6) has a web-site on the Internet, where you can find contacts of subjects related to youth exchanges, further information, and annotations of own projects and seminars. The web-site contains interesting links to other pages concerning international youth exchanges.******************* TASKS : The main task is individual counseling for young people ("Czech-German and European Youth Exchange of Individuals"). This task includes: widening knowledgeability about study possibilities in the neighbouring country, information on summer jobs, international workscamps, job practice, etc., establishing and updating a Czech Gerrman Webside www.ahoj.info, contact and collaboration with Czech, German and European Youth information agencies - ex. Eurodesk, National Agencies Youth, Youth Information Centres in the Czech Republic and other institutions. Further the volunteer presents TANDEM on different events (fairs, youth meetings, information campaigns etc.) and get in touch with the interested young people there. After some time the volunteer has the possibility - according to his interests - to organise some seminars by his-self about an youth-relevant topic. After preparing he takes part on this seminar and gets new knowledge about this aspect of youth work.
