HI!! I really liked my project 'cause I could choose my activities and organize them as I preferred... I worked in "collèges" where I was the assistant of the Italian teacher, I helped children with their homework after school, I worked in "crèches" where I told stories and sang songs (in Italian and French) to two or three-year-old children, I organized activities and games for children in a Social Centre during school holidays, I organized "Italian Clubs" at the "collèges" and I worked in a Youth Information Point... as you can see I couldn't get bored!! ;-) the flat was really ok!! I met a lot of interesting foreign people and lots of volunteers (also thanks to the seminars!!) and I really enjoyed myself with them... on the other hand people of Mâcon were very narrow-minded (I'm not the only one saying this!!even people I worked with thought that!!) so at the beginning it has been hard but then I managed to spend my weekends in a cool way! The problem is that Mâcon is a too small city for a volunteer and there are few students of the University... My tutor was nice with me but I think she didn't know what "to be a tutor for a EVS volunteer" means and so I didn't have the psycological support I think a volunteer should have... anyway the coordinator (Alice :-) was a fantastic person and she always helped me and, above all, she always LISTENED TO ME when I needed... I think every EVS has its good and bad time but it's one of the best experience you can do, so... LET'S TRY, you will learn so much and you will be really satisfied!! if you want to contact me I'll be happy to answer you!!
