potvurka's experience 

During my EVS in TANDEM, I made lot of nice and good experiences. TANDEM was always offering me several possibilities and they tried from the beginning to integrate me fully in the projekt and the organization. My mentor, Jitka, showed me lots of interessting and usefull places in Plzen. The integration of TANDEM and Jitka was really good for not feeling alone at the beginning. Due to my living in kolej, I was able to make soon some contacts with people even from whole over the world. Also a project called “stamtis” (meeting of people which is organized by the volunteer working in Tandem, mostly fokused on german-czech relation) helped me to find new people in Plzen. From technical site I have had all what I needed and I didn´t felt any loss of anything. The social and intercultural aspect was really good fullfilled. Nearly daily I was working with two or even more countries. It is very interessting to work in such a intercultural aspect and also to make own seminars like Online-Redakteure (seminar, where people can learn to do their own webpages on www.ahoj.info) with people from 2 countries. Due to the fact that TANDEM was always supporting me in lots of my activities, I was also able to visit the On-arrival trainings and get the contact to the volunteers, which will now help me to create my Future Capital. Because of the on-arrivals I got to know even more people and the intercultural aspect increased. My language was supported of several possibilities TANDEM offered me. So I have had one private teacher, my mentor which teached me and a course. It heped me a lot and I hope that I will still encrease my language.Since I ended my EVS, I am hardly working on ideas for my FC with the tite “EVS as a hot topic” and I applied and got my FC already, therefore I will start to hardly work on it in february. The content of my FC is:“During my EVS I got to know how important it is to inform about EVS and so I came to my idea of future capital. I want to inform more people in whole Europe about EVS and I want to do this over the web page www.evs.cz. With developing this page, I want to inform and also to connect the future-, nowadays- and former EVS-volunteers. The web page should also include a place for ex-EVS community and descriptions of several projects in whole Europe from volunteers experiences. Also the experience with projects of foreign volunteers in CZ will play important role.It will be a huge and known information and promotional project, which is now missing in Czech Republic, as well as in Europe, were are also not existing so many projects in this field.”I am sure that I will go on with my work on EVS stuff and I hope once to find a work in this field.
