17 Apr 04 - Volunteering in Mongolia
For everybody interested in getting a inforgettable experience this summer try beeing a volunteer in Mongolia.
The organisation MYDC (Mongolian Youth Development Center) annually arranges camps for volunteers and Mongolian Youth.
The tasks of the volunteers can be everything from manual work to teaching English - to get an idea look at the home page www.mydc.org.mn
If you're under 24 you can even join the Blue Sky Summer Camp where international Youth meets Mongolian Youth, this is an excellent chance to get an insight in Mongolian Culture and traditions as well as meeting young Mongolians.
Mongolia is a country known for it's old and fascinating normad culture and fantastic wild nature. And travelling to the country permitts you to travel by the Transsiberian Railway which is it self an experience.
I was there last summer and can only recommend it.
For further information look for the page listed above (note that deadline for applications for the Blue sky camp is 1. of May)
For other questions feel free to contact me.
